It's no surprise but learning French on your own is hard.

Sometimes you need the support and help from others. This is where I have found a French language forum to be indispensible.

Forums are a great place not only to share knowledge but also to make new study buddies. This is great if you are studying on your own and feeling a bit lonely or unmotivated.


Below is a list of some of my favorite French forums.

French Language Forum


Word Reference
One of my absolute favorite French forums.

Jump Gate
Lively forum which covers many languages. The French forum is not split into any subgroups so it can be difficult to find something but nonetheless I still like it.

Jishka
Good for asking questions but not so good for looking at the topics to other questions.

About.com
Lots of helpful advice and lots of members.
